Rapper Twista was arrested last week for marijuana possession but now he is claiming that he was racially profiled by cops.
The incident also derailed his concert at Big Shots in Valparaiso, Indiana last Thursday night. Twista was reportedly found with half an ounce of weed and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Twista was driving his Rolls-Royce Phantom when he was pulled over by cops who found the banned substance in a fake can. The rapper’s attorney, Lakeisha Murdaugh, says that the traffic stop might not be random and may be a case of profiling, TMZ reported.
But Porter County Sheriff David Reynolds said Cpl. Paul Czupryn, who pulled over the rapper, says that his Rolls-Royce was following a truck too closely and that was enough to pulled the driver over.
Twista was busted along with three other members of his crew on another ocassion.
