Nicki Minaj don’t want to be seen as single or in a relationship, she is saying that Meek Mill is just a boy that likes her.
The rapper/actress appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show on Thursday to promote her new film Barbershop: The Next Cut, where she opened up about her relationship with Meek Mill.
“I used to say I wasn’t in a relationship even though I was in a 12-year relationship and now, I feel like going back to that and saying I’m single,” Minaj said. “For instance, Valentine’s Day passed and I didn’t put up my Valentine’s Day gift on Instagram. People said, ‘They’re not together.’ We were getting anonymous messages saying, ‘She wasn’t with him. She was crying all day.’ They put up all these things. Meanwhile, we were really in bed all day on Valentine’s Day. You just have to do you and make yourself happy and forget about trying to get everyone’s approval. It’s better to just keep those things sacred. So now, I don’t really care to say I’m in a relationship or I’m engaged or whatever. There’s a boy that likes me. That’s all.”
Nicki Minaj also left us with a very cryptic message about what the future holds for herself and Meek Mill.
“He and I are just two souls right now, passing through the universe. I don’t know what’s gonna happen,” she added. “I just have learned over the years to not…to just let things be and come and go as they’re gonna come and go.”
The “Anaconda” rapper also opened up about the two ring that Meek Mill gave her and coincidentally she was not wearing any of them. Last year Meek gave her two giant diamond rings that she said are not engagement rings. But she did revealed that he told her that if she gets a third ring then that would be it.
