Not only is Birdman refusing to let Lil Wayne out of his contract with Cash Money, he is also angry at his longtime friend and protege.
Last week Weezy told his fans on Twitter that he felt like an hostage at Cash Money because the label execs are refusing to release his new album Tha Carter V. The album has been delayed over three times this year.

“I am a prisoner and so is my creativity Again,I am truly sorry and I don’t blame ya if ya fed up with waiting 4 me & this album. But thk u,” Lil Wayne wrote on Twitter.

Sources told TMZ that Birdman is upset but unmoved by Weezy’s rant and vows to keep him at the label even if he has to go to court.
The label head says Wayne does not understand the business aspects of the label which includes all the administrative work that goes into releasing the album.
