Reggae Celebrates Bob Marley’s 69th Birthday

Reggae fans around the world are celebrating Bob Marley’s 69th birthday today.

The late king of reggae was born on February 6, 1945. Coincidentally, this month is not only Black History month, but also the month we celebrates reggae music.

Bob Marley is widely credited for bringing reggae music into the mainstream marley in the 1960s and 70s. His conscious music captivates an entire generation and generations after his death in 1981.

Today, there is hardly any country in the world that you would not hear a Bob Marley song jamming.

Rolling Stone ranked Bob Marley at numbeer 19 on its list of 100 greatest singers of all time. But many argued that the Jamaican reggae legend should have been in the top 10.
