Lauryn Hill is officially heading to prison.
A judge sentenced her to 3 months in prison for tax fraud earlier this week and ordered her to report to prison by July 8.
Moments before her sentencing, Lauryn Hill’s lawyer revealed that she paid her back taxes in full amounting to almost a million dollars.
The former Fugee singer/rapper was facing years in prison, however, a judge sentenced her to 3 months behind bars and 9 months house arrest.
Lauryn Hill released a letter thanking her supporters including Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder for writing letters to the judge on her behalf.
