Some 15,000 fans flocked Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, Long Island last weekend to see Drake performed just days after making headlines with an alleged Club Fight with Chris Brown.
Security was extra tight for his Club Paradise tour stop, as tensions are still high from the bloody incident at club WIP in New York City. The Young Money rapper took the stage following sets from 2 Chainz, Waka Flocka Flame, French Montana, J. Cole and Meek Mill.
“When I woke up this morning, I had to think about a lot of things,” he told the crowd, referring to the bottle throwing incident. “But the only thing I gave a f about was that I was in New York City tonight.”
Moments later during his set, Drizzy touch back on the Chris Brown fight topic again.
“You were having a good night so far, you done had a couple drinks, you done met a couple thangs, and then the ni**a in the corner start looking at you funny and you feel a motherfu**in’ way about it. And then somebody going to the bathroom bumps you with their elbow and you like, ‘What the f?’ At that time in my life, there’s really only one ni**a that I wanna hear.”
Drake also surprised fans with a few guests including veteran rappe Busta Rhymes, Juelz Santana and Cam’ron.
