Dancehall mogul Corey Todd will be hosting a benefit concert in aid of Vybz Kartel at Club Riddim, formerly the Building nightclub, on Tuesday May 22.
The news came just days after Todd and Kartel confirmed that they have reunited after parting ways last year. According to reps for Vybz Kartel, gaza members Popcaan, Gaza Slim, Sheba and Tommy Lee are all booked to perform at the event. Ladies are free before midnight and pays JM$500 after. It will cost males JM$1000 to get past the door.
All proceeds from the concert will go towards helping Vybz Kartel with his mounting legal expenses.
Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, was arrested in September of last year, and slapped with two separate murder charges, as well as, charges of gun possession, Marijuana and conspiracy.
Vybz Kartel returns to court on May 22, to answer to a charge of ganja possession.
