Haitian born singer Wyclef Jean will headline an upcoming controversial concert on the grounds of University of Colorado schedule for Friday, April 20th.
The concert, dubbed 4/20, is geared towards the popular Marijuana smoking holiday. University officials said the free concert, which drew 10,000 people last year, is meant to serve as a distraction from smoking marijuana on April 20.
“We are asking students to support us in the effort to protect the reputation of our institution and do it by attending a great free concert,” said Carly Robinson.
According to the University, on the day of the concert, students will be find up to $100 if they are caught smoking on campus.
The concert featuring the former Fugee runs from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Coors Events Center at CU-Boulder.
