Embattled dancehall star Vybz Kartel aka Worl’Boss was remanded into custody when he appeared before the judge yesterday on charges of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The “Cake Soap” deejay along with his other two co-accused Vanessa Sadler aka Vanessa Bling and a man identified as Pim Pim appeared before RM Judith Pusey in the Half-Way Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court to answer to the charges.
Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, and his co-accused is set to stand trial on those charges starting May 8.

The deejay is also facing a double murder charge and possession of illegal firearm.
The conspiracy charges stemmed from an incident where Vybz Kartel and protege Vanessa Bling, also known as Gaza Slim, alleged plot to undermine the Clive “Lizard” Williams murder case against the Portmore Empire head.
Allegations are that, Vanessa Sadler files a police report in October of last year claiming that she was robbed by Clive Williams in Havendale, the man Kartel is accused of murdering.
Investigators said that Sadler, Vybz Kartel and Pim Pim plotted to fabricate the story. Police later revealed that they are in possession of a cellphone with a text message allegedly sent by Vybz Kartel to Sadler.
