Rihanna: “There’s Nobody Really In My League”

At 23 years old, Rihanna is one of the most successful popstars of her generation, with five platinum selling albums and four Grammy awards under her belt.

Rihanna also created history when she achieved the milestone of snagging 20 top 10 records in a short period of six years and four months, stepping in front of Madonna for the most rapid collection of top 10s among soloists in Billboard’s chart history.

Rihanna covers the upcoming issue of Look Magazine, where she talk candidly about her competition.

“There’s nobody really in my league But there’s competition everywhere. The whole music industry is competition. There are people who like other artists, those who like me and others who like both. Beyonce is a great artist and I feel honoured to be mentioned in the same sentence, but we’re different performers with different styles.”

Rihanna also said she look up to the crown Queen of pop music, Madonna.

“Madonna. She reinvented her style and music with success every single time, and at the same time remained a real force. She’s fantastic.”
