Internationally acclaimed reggae superstar Shaggy will make a special appearance on NBC’s Today Show, with hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb on Monday, December 19.
Shaggy — whose real name is Orville Burrell — will perform two Christmas songs and discuss his album with the hosts of the morning programme.
Shaggy recently received a nomination for a Grammy Award in the Best Reggae Album Category for his eight-track digital album, Summer In Kingston.
The Hot Shot singer won this category with his monster hit album Bombastic in 1996. Other nominees in the Best Reggae Album section this year are: Monty Alexander with Harlem Kingston Express Live; Israel Vibration’s contribution Reggae Knights; Stephen Marley’s Revelation Part 1: The Root of Life; and his sibling, Ziggy Marley with Wild and Free.
This 2012 Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 12, 2012 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
