Embattled dancehall star Vybz Kartel is schedule to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s court today to answer to charges of murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of firearm.
A decision will likely be made on a bail application the deejay’s attorney file last week when he appeared in court.
The “Cake Soap” deejay was arrested on 30th of September in New Kingston, and charged with the possession of 4.3 ounces of marijuana. Kartel along with three other persons were taken into custody.
The Portmore Empire boss was slapped with more serious charges of murder, conspiracy to murder, and illegal possession of a firearm just days after his arrest.
The charges are in connection with the murder of Barrington ‘Bossie’ Burton, a 27-year-old promoter and businessman from Gregory Park in St Catherine.
He has been behind bars over a month now.
