Barbadian popstar Rihanna has agreed to soften the restraining order against ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
According to E! the “S&M” singer requested the order to be relaxed a little, down to a level one, which would mean that the two are allowed to contact each other as long as Brown doesn’t harass or annoy his superstar ex.
Chris Brown lawyer, Mark Geragos, should be heading to court sometime soon for a judge to officially change the original order.
Rihanna request comes a week after Chris Brown revealed that he request the “Stay Away” order reduce so that both stars can attend the same event.
The order came into effect in August 2009 by Judge Patricia Schnegg after Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna. The restriction prevented the former couple from communicating or come close to each other.
In November 2010, Chris Brown completed his yearlong domestic-violence course in December and has been lavished with praise by Schnegg for his progress during his status hearings.
“Of all probationers I’ve ever had, and I’ve had thousands of probationers, no one has ever done a better or more consistent job than you have,” Schnegg said during a November hearing. “And I really want to commend you for taking responsibility, and for actually working diligently to complete all of the things the court has required of you.”
Rihanna performed on Grammy night, but Brown who was nominated did not attend.
