Singer Kehlani, confirmed on her Instagram page, that she and rapper YG are in a relationship.
The rumour mill has been spinning for months now but nothing official was ever released. The couple made their dating debut together at New York Fashion Week on September 5th. The pair arrived at the event together and entered the show one behind the other. The video was posted on social media and fans everywhere used this as an exclusive confirmation but still weren’t sure as some speculated that the meet-up could be for a music collaboration.
When asked by reporters if their outing together meant that they were in a relationship Kehlani responded by saying “Mhmm.” Not long after, the “Nights Like This” singer corroborated the rumors by posting photos of the two at the event on her Instagram page. The photos depicted the two embracing and kissing while the singer smiles happily. She captioned the post, “cats out the bag”.
Unfortunately many fans are not in support of their relationship as both Kehlani and YG just welcomed babies with other people. Kehlani gave birth to her first child, Adeya Nomi in March with guitarist Javie Young-White. While YG, welcomed a baby girl named Vibe Jackson in July with Catelyn Sparks. The pair also share a 3-year-old daughter named Harmony.
Fans have been pointing out that it’s just way too soon for either of them to have moved on as both babies are ‘fresh out of the womb’. One fan stated, “Both they babies still got they umbilical cords on and they moved on that fast” While another fan added, “Dang the ink ain’t even dried on the birth certificates”
Another individual who seemed to have the inside scoop also commented, “5 years in the making” To which the singer responded, “if you know you know!!” So apparently this has been a long time coming.
