Lil Wayne will continue the North American 2019 tour with Blink-182 and Neck Deep.
Weezy F. Baby had the internet buzzing after he stopped his show mid-set Thursday night in Bristow, Virginia to announce that he wasn’t sure if he would continue the tour because he didn’t feel as though there were enough fans there to see him.
“I am so not used to performing to a crowd and it’s not too many … That’s not my swagg. I’m not sure how long I’m going to be able to do this tour,” Lil Wayne said in a moment captured on video that quickly spread around social media. But Wayne took to Twitter Friday afternoon to clear up the rumors and set the record straight.
“Yesterday was Krazy! But I want all my fans to know I won’t be quitting this tour! I’m having too much fun with my bros blink-182. Bangor,ME see you tomorrow!”
The tour had close to 30 dates left, the next one being July 13 in Bangor, Maine, and fans were worried that the New Orleans rap icon was dropping out of the lineup after having only visited 11 cities so far.
Maybe this moment will encourage the future crowds to rock a little harder while the “Uproar” hitmaker takes the stage.
