Kendrick Lamar’s ex-girlfriend, Nitty Scott, says Drake hit her up looking for tea during their beef last year.
It has been almost a year since Kendrick Lamar and Drake went up against each other bar for bar, but it’s still ripe in the minds of hip-hop fans. The two rappers have dominated the genre over the past year even after the Toronto rapper emerged with a few bruises and K.Dot with some criticisms of his tactics.
It seems that no stones were left unturned by either side as they tried to get as much dirt as possible on each other for their diss tracks. Earlier this week, Nitty Scott, who dated Kendrick Lamar in the past, said his nemesis came knocking on her door last year looking for dirt. She made the revelation after getting into a heated back-and-forth with fans on social media.
Some fans accused her of being messy last year while K.Dot was in a heated beef with Drizzy, but she denied the claims saying she did nothing but defend the Compton rapper. “Nah i let y’all go off for 10 years … if i wanna comment on MY lil dating experiences, i will & if i was looking for clout i woulda dropped the sweetest tea you ever tasted a decade ago. It’s still plenty y’all don’t know stop paying attention to me & go away dennn,” she wrote.

She added in response to one fan, “What happened last year around the battle? Now imma make you CLOCK IT since you a nitty scott expert. I did not speak on our relationship AT ALL last year except to defend KENDRICK’S GOOD NAME in direct response to ovhoes literally sending me accusations that he’s a cheater.”
The Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef last year was never on anyone’s bingo card, but it did leave a lasting impression on the genre. Drake is suing UMG over the vicious diss song “Not Like Us” in which Dot accused him of being a pedophile among other things. The Canadian rapper says the label used unfair tactics to promote the song in an effort to hurt his career ahead of their negotiating a new deal. The label denies the claims.
By the way, the song won Kendrick several Grammy awards at this year’s award ceremony. He also performed it at the Super Bowl Halftime Show despite threats of lawsuits.
