Cardi B claps back at haters who accused her of abandoning her children for a night of partying.
The “I Like It” rapper has been juggling her career and motherhood for the last couple of years, but now her parenting skills have been under the microscope. Cardi B has been spotted partying with her friends frequently these past several weeks, leading some fans to question who was with her kids.
The mother of three took to Twitter Spaces to address criticisms that she is leaving her kids to go out and party. Cardi B might also be finding solace in partying with her friends, given her divorce from Offset after welcoming their third child together over the summer. The chatters grew louder last weekend when fans saw footage of her in the club in New York City having a great time.
Still, the Bronx rapper found it offensive that folks are questioning her dedication to her children, with the evidence strongly supporting her being a good mother. “Yesterday was my last day going out to party,” she said on Twitter Spaces while assuring her fans that she only goes out on special occasions like her birthday. She continues, “We been partying hard honey, hard. Having a time, a ball. But let’s have this little talk.”
“I feel like a lot of people been seeing me out and like on the internet they have all these types of mixup like ‘oh she is always outside, she is finally happy that she’s being a h-e,” Cardi laments, saying that it’s the male fans who usually say that.
Cardi B assured her fans that she was not in the streets like they suggested and that she went home to be with her kids immediately after leaving the club. She also stated that partying is helping her heal from her heartbreak from her divorce from Offset and is helping her deal with urges to reach back out to him during her times of feeling depressed.
“Even when I feel like I wasn’t depressed, I just wasn’t being myself. And now, I don’t feel like that. I don’t give a f—. Like, b—h, f— you, I’m living my life,” she said. “I balance it all. How do you expect women to heal over a heartbreak? That’s why we say our mothers cry so much.”
Cardi B also makes it clear that she is the breadwinner in her family and not an Instagram model who only portrays the lifestyle for social media. In the meantime, Offset seemed like he had been hitting the gym hard since his breakup, judging from his recent social media posts.
