50 Cent says his opinion of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been consistent over the years.
While 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, has made a lot of people his target on social media, one name consistently come up in his trolling, and that’s Diddy. To say that Fifty is not a fan of Puffy is an understatement and the G-Unit chief has been consistent for years about the things he have been saying about the rap mogul.
Speaking with People about his constant trolling of the Bad Boy Records head, Fif says it’s the media that is now catching on because he has been doing it for years. “Look, it seems like I’m doing some extremely outrageous things, but I haven’t,” the film producer said. “It’s really me just saying what I’ve been saying for 10 years.”
50 Cent added, “Now it’s becoming more full-facing in the news with the Puffy stuff. But away from that, I’m like, ‘Yo, it’s just my perspective because I stayed away from that stuff the entire time, because this is not my style.”
It’s not clear when Fifty’s perspective on Diddy shift because he has been somewhat friendly with the entertainment mogul in the past like when they posed for a photo with Paris Hilton in 2007 in Las Vegas. 50 Cent also previously shared a story where he revealed being taken a back when Combs offered to take him shopping. A gesture that he found weird at the time and declined.
50 Cent is also spearheading a documentary on the Diddy allegations set for premiere on Netflix after inking a deal with the streaming platform. The “21 Questions” rapper is working on the project with film director Alexandria Stapleton.
“We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives,” 50 Cent and Stapleton said in a statement about the documentary. “While the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combs’s story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture.”
Diddy was arrested in September and hit with racketeering and sex trafficking federal charges in New York. The rap mogul is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center, MDC, in Brooklyn without bond as he awaits trial in May 2025. Combs is also facing numerous new lawsuits from alleged accusers including one person who says they were a minor at the time of their alleged inappropriate encounter with the label exec. His attorneys have since responded to some of the allegations saying he will defend his name.
