Love & Hip Hop star Yandy Smith will be back in her husband’s arms sooner than that. According to her, husband Mendeecees Harris will soon be released from prison.
The reality star attended the Finding Ashley Stewart tour finale in Brooklyn, New York recently. While walking the pink carpet she discussed her husband’s impending release with Power 105.1, stating that he is slated to be out of prison within the next few months. She also divulged that after his release from prison Mendeecees will rejoin the cast of Love & Hip Hop: New York, alongside her and the show’s other cast members.
Although Yandy did not state an exact release date for Mendeecees, it was previously alleged that he was granted an early release for 2020. Mendeecees was sentenced to eight years in prison back in 2015 for his participation in a drug ring that distributed illegal materials between Rochester, New York, and New York City during 2006 and 2008.
It will be quite fascinating to see how Love & Hip Hop plan to capture and showcase Mendeecees’ release from prison as well as him adjusting to being back home. The couple was extremely popular on the show as they were very controversial and were always in the center of the drama. Fans will be overjoyed at his return. The pair was last seen on the show together when Yandy informed Mendeecees that they were not legally married and that she wanted to “spiritually” marry him. Back in 2017, she opened up about the progress she has made on getting their union legalized.
We all will be keeping our eyes open for his release in the months to come.
