Post Malone Helps Ozzy Osbourne Creates Billboard Hot 100 History

Ozzy Osbourne recently appeared on Post Malone’s “Take What You Want,” and it earned him his first ever Billboard Hot 100 top ten in three decades.

Post Malone‘s latest studio album, ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’ shot to number one on the Billboard 200 in its first week. Not only that but every last song on the 17-track album made it onto the Billboard Hot 100. Particularly, “Take What You Want” featuring Travis Scott and Ozzy Osbourne landed a top 10 position. This surprised most fans considering the odd combination.

‘Take What You Want’ debuted at number 8 and marks Ozzy’s first top 10 song since 1989. “Close My Eyes Forever” which was a duet with Lita Ford was the last record that Osbourne had in the Billboard top 10.

Post Malone and Ozzy Osbourne are artistes from two different eras so it came as no surprise that the English singer had no idea who the “White Iverson” rapper was. In an interview with The Sun, Ozzy explained how the collaboration came to be. “I’d never even heard of this kid. He wanted me to sing on his song ‘Take What You Want,’ so I did and then one thing led to another,” Osbourne said. “I started recording a new album with Post Malone’s producer Andrew Watt. It’s only nine tracks but it was a catalyst to get me to where I am today.”

Post Malone was not have even been born yet when Ozzy Osbourne had his last top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Now he has a hand in the 69-yea-old singer’s Billboard record and has also paved the way for the singer to make a comeback with a new solo album. This is definitely newsworthy stuff.
