Lil Uzi Vert promised to pay a fan’s $90K college tuition out of the kindness of his heart.
A fan stopped Philadelphia rap star Lil Uzi Vert in the mall Thursday and abruptly asked him for a huge favor: pay off his college tuition that amounts to $90,000. The fan, whose name is @bigassheel on Instagram, captured the interaction on his IG story. Uzi is seen walking through the mall with security when the fan shouts, “Can you pay for my college tuition?”
The “XO TOUR Llif3” rapper immediately stopped and turned to ask how much the fan’s tuition costs and agreed that he could afford the $90K bill. The student revealed that he goes to Temple University, a school based in Uzi’s hometown, which may have sealed the deal.
“This is the thing though. If I pay for your college tuition, are you going to finish college? Are you going to bullsh*t?” Uzi asked the fan.
The 25-year-old then instructed the fan to send him all of his transcripts and information to prove he was a student. “I’m serious. If you don’t show me, you won’t get 90 grand from me,” he said sternly.
The exchange between Uzi and the male fan has since gone viral, landing on The Shaderoom and House of Highlights. Hopefully, Uzi is a man of his word, as that would be an amazing gift for a bold fan.
