Tay-K was seen crying in his interrogation video after killing Ethan Walker.
19-year-old rapper Taymor McIntyre, better known as Tay-K, was found guilty of murder by a jury on Friday as his murder trial wraps in a Texas courtroom. During his trial this week, video footage from his interrogation session was played in court showing him crying while being questioned by law enforcement officials. He was 16 years old at the time, and his attorney argued in the trial earlier this week that killing was never a part of his plan. Still, that was not enough to sway the jury who returned with a guilty verdict after deliberating for four hours.
Urban Islandz reported that Tay-K is now facing anywhere from 5 to 99 years in prison for his crimes. The prosecution says that “The Race” rapper and his associates killed 21-year-old Ethan Walker, a father of one, during a home invasion robbery that went horribly wrong.
On Monday, Tay-K pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery but maintained his innocence on the capital murder charge. On Friday, he was also found guilty of aggravated robbery for robbing and shooting Zachary Beloate in a separate case.
