Daniel Craig injured his ankle in a brutal fall he suffered on set James Bond new movie in Jamaica.

The incident halt production as the famed British actor had to seek medical treatment in the United States. According to British newspaper The Sun, Daniel Craig fell while shooting a scene where he was sprinting. Sources say he was in a lot of pain and was complaining about his ankle. The actor was airlifted to the United States for medical treatment. The producers briefly halted production, but now he is feeling better so production will resume in the coming days.

“Things were deemed to be a disaster at first,” sources said. “But the injury is not as severe as believed, and he will be able to film while not over-exerting his ankle. He will be back on set within the week.”

The Jamaica segment of the production is now towards the end. Other scenes for “Bond 25” will be shot in London, Norway, and Italy. The new James Bond film already saw a 6-month delay after the original director Danny Boyle’s exit over creative differences, Variety reported. The film was initially set for release in October 2019, but now the premiere date is set for April 2020.

The producers are Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, while Cary Joji Fukunaga sits in the director’s chair.
