Soulja Boy says he is very thankful to be alive after his car got caught in a mudslide.
Soulja Boy, real name DeAndre Cortez, took to Twitter on Sunday afternoon to let his fans know that he is okay. The rapper was among a slew of motorist who got caught up in a landslide in Malibu, California on Saturday. “My car got stuck too almost went into the ocean,” the rapper wrote while adding a prayer emoji.
“Was involved in a very bad car accident last night due to a flash flood and mud slide” Soulja added. “I still haven’t got my car back it’s stuck in the water in the middle of the mud slide/flood.”
According to the Los Angeles Times, the mudslide was triggered by a storm that swept through the area over the weekend. The mudslide trapped several drivers and vehicles and triggered a massive traffic pileup as authorities closed parts of the Pacific Coast Highway.
