Buju Banton is being celebrated by fans worldwide today amidst his release from prison.
The reggae/dancehall legend is currently resting at his home in Jamaica with his family. Buju Banton was released from a federal prison in Georgia on Friday and flew to Jamaica the same day. Trinidad and Tobago based promoter, High Frequency Entertainment, is hosting a major event in the Twin Island Republic today to mark the occasion.
The event is dubbed “The Reunification” a freedom show that will be held on the streets with motorcades and streets dances all playing Buju Banton’s music.
There are no words yet on whether or not any events are being planned for Jamaica, but we’re told that the Trinidad event is on for sure today. High Frequency Entertainment is the same promotional outfit that booked Buju Banton for a major show in Trinidad in April of next year.
