Drake new film “Monsters and Men” is on the way and you can watch the trailer below.
Drake is not limiting himself to just music and merch, the Toronto rapper is about to drop a new movie that he executive produced. The film was directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green with Drizzy at the helm. The movie is being touted as a much watch for all African Americans since it depicts a series of events that took place when a young father from Brooklyn witnessed a shooting incident of an unarmed black man.
“When young father Manny witnesses the police shooting of an unarmed black man, the tight-knit community of Bed-Stuy is pushed to the brink in Reinaldo Marcus Green’s Sundance Award-winning portrait of race, family and consequence,” the movie description reads.
Reinaldo Marcus Green says he was motivated to do the film after talking to a black police officer about the tragic shooting of Eric Garner. Green said the conversation was so unsettling that he just had to do something. Critics who have already seen the film gave it rave reviews, and it currently has an 80% ratings on Rotten Tomato. Among the star-studded cast, you will find John David Washington, from the hit film BlackKklansman.
