Beyonce made a historic appearance on the cover of Vogue magazine, and now we got a glimpse of what went on behind the scenes.
Beyonce tapped Tyler Mitchell who became the first ever black photographer to do a cover shoot for Vogue. On Tuesday, Vogue released a behind the scenes video showcasing Queen Bey in all her glory. Curtis Mayfield’s “The Makings of You” serves as a fitting soundtrack for the clip.
Her kids, Sir, Rumi and Blue Ivy, made a cameo in the video. They always have a first-hand view when mommy is putting in the work and making history. You can also get a glimpse of Blue Ivy pulling off some gymnastics with her friend in the clip.
Beyonce opened up about having twins and the struggles of her pregnancy including her weight gain. “As the mother of two girls, it’s important to me that they see themselves too—in books, films and on runways,” she told Vogue. “It’s important to me that they see themselves as CEOs, as bosses, and that they know they can write the script for their own lives—that they can speak their minds and they have no ceiling.”
