Lil Wayne and Birdman reunites once again at Liv nightclub in Miami.
Just over a year ago, the father and son hip-hop legends reunite at the same nightclub in Miami where they drink and partied together with friends. Despite their brief reunion on New Year’s Day last year, things quickly became sour for them again when Lil Wayne started complaining that Birdman is still not forthcoming with his money. Weezy is still suing the Cash Money honcho for $51 million and has expressed his willingness to keep fighting until he gets his dough.
A short video clip surfaced on social media today showing Lil Wayne and Birdman hugging it out and chopping it up. It would be interesting to know what they were talking about. Weezy prob whispered in Baby’s ears, ‘where’s my money.” Meek Mill’s “Dreams and Nightmares” intro was being played in the background.
Lil Wayne has often expressed his disdain for Birdman and Cash Money Records over the past three years starting from a rant on Twitter where he said he wanted out of his contract with the label who is holding his album Tha Carter V hostage. The Hot Boys rapper recently said in an interview that the album is coming this year for sure, but it still depends on Wayne. “Without a doubt, we’ll get that [Tha Carter V] this year,” he said before comparing his one-time protege to the late Tupac Shakur.
Lil Wayne also raps about his hatred for Birdman and the label on his “Dedication 6” mixtape and during some of his live performances where he yelled “f*** Cash Money. Despite Weezy’s very vocal disdain for the label, Birdman has never bashed returned the favor. In fact, Baby is always very protective of Wayne in interviews and still refers to him as his son.
