The original version of the song “Bodak Yellow” is one of the biggest hits this summer and is expected to climb to number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. The song could very well over throw “Despacito” and French Montana and Swae Lee’s “Unforgettable” for the number one or two spot respectively next week. Now that she scored a certified banger for herself, it’s time for the New York rapper to prep herself for the next week going into the fall.
Cardi B serves up a Spanish language version for “Bodak Yellow” which she calls a Latin Trap Remix featuring Messiah and it packs a lot of heat. So far the reviews have been great so only time will tell if that will translate into sales and more chart success for the former stripper. Cardi B has Dominican roots so the move to win over some latin fans is the right move for her. Perhaps she should’ve link up with dancehall hit maker Charly Black for this remix. Cardi B earned herself a fan base from her appearance on Love and Hip Hop New York, but after years of struggling in the music business she finally earned some respect.
