Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry teams up for a Taylor Swift diss track titled “Swish Swish.”
Although the pair aren’t promoting the single as a diss record, fans quickly caught on and notice a couple lines that they think are taking shots at the pop star. Both Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj have beefed with Taylor Swift in the past. “I already despise you / All that fake love you showin’ / Couldn’t even disguise you / Ran? When? Nicki gettin’ tan / Mirror mirror who’s the fairest b**ch in all the land? / Damn, man, this b**ch is a Stan,” Nicki Minaj raps.
The track itself has been getting mixed reviews among fans on social media, while fans thinks that Nicki saved Katy Perry what they called a less than stellar single. “Thank god Nicki Minaj did a verse on this song saved it from being a total wreck,” one fan tweeted. The single was produced Noah “Mailbox” Passovoy, Duke Dumont, and PJ “Promnite” Sledge, and will appear on Perry’s upcoming album Witness, due on June 9, 2017. She already released two singles off the album, “Bon Appétit” featuring Migos and the Skip Marley-assisted single “Chained to the Rhythm.”
Nicki Minaj has a big night coming up on Sunday where she is set to open the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. She is also nominated to receive a Billboard Chart Achievement Award following an impressive year on the chart.
