Beyonce’s Formation Tour Grosses Over $250 Million

Beyonce is the biggest pop star on the planet right now and she has the numbers to prove it.

Queen Bey’s Formation World Tour was a huge hit this year grossing over $250 million with over 2.2 million tickets sold worldwide. The tour started back in April and concluded on October 7. That means that she raked in a quarter of a billion dollars in six months just from touring alone. Each of her shows averages $5.2 million with an average of 45,000 concert goers in attendance.

The biggest night of the entire tour was at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 2-3 where those two nights grossed $15.3 million with 142,5000 tickets sold. New York City also saw two big nights with $11.5 million grossed from 73,486 tickets sold. Live Nation’s Global Touring division Arthur Fogel says Beyonce was the sole reason for the tour’s huge success.

“When everybody acknowledges the greatness of the production but, more than that, everybody is blown away by her, that’s the ultimate skill,” Fogel told Billboard. “To not only use the platform of a great production, but to rise above it as a performer and artist, that’s her incredibly unique quality.”

The final show saw Beyonce bringing out Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar.
