Sizzla Kalonji To Perform In New York For First Time in a Decade

Sizzla Kalonji will be back in New York for the first time in close to a decade.

Hard to believe the it’s been 8 years since Sizzla last performed in NY so its no surprise that fans are planning to turn out in huge numbers to see the reggae/dancehall icon in action at the Irie Jam Radio anniversary celebration on Labour Day on September 4 at the Roy Wilkins Park in Queens.

Sizzla, whose real name is Miguel Collins, had his visa reinstated after years not being able to travel and perform in the U.S. The singjay’s first show was in Los Angeles last month.

“Today I give thanks. Thanks for life, for family, for love, for Jah, for earth, for Africa, for Jamaica and the Caribbean,” Sizzla wrote on his IG page. “Thank you for the opportunity to spread the message of reggae music to the world. America Sizzla is coming to give you some ital vibrations. It’s been 8 years since I saw you beautiful people. Let’s make it special”
