Vybz Kartel Pays Homage To Delus In New Single ‘Gone Too Soon’

Vybz Kartel released a tribute single for the late dancehall star Delus, who died last month from an apparent suicide.

ZJ Liquid played the single for the first time last weekend on his ZipFM radio show. The track was produced by TJ Records.

“Still give thanks / Because we know you’re in a better place / Yesterday mi hear gone away / Gone too soon,” Kartel deejay over a dancehall beat.

Delus, who is Konshens older brother, shot himself to death in June 22 at his home in Havendale. Sources say that Vybz Kartel, who was a friend of the deejay, is saddened by his death and this recorded a tribute single.

Kartel is currently serving a life sentence in prison for murder. His recent album King of the Dancehall debut at No. 2 on the Billboard Reggae chart last month.
