Troy Ave is getting some support from his peers in the rap game. Meek Mill publicly support the incarcerated New York rapper following his attempted murder charge on Monday.
“The laws they made ain’t designed to protect us,” the Philly emcee wrote on his Instagram in the caption of a photo of Troy Ave in a wheelchair leaving court.
“‘They like get killed or get a 100 years’ Don’t let the press ‘gas’ you to go against ya own people! Because if that was a cop Tryna protect his life the police force gone stand behind them 100% ‘Pic look crazy’ #freetroy & never let these ‘bum a*s nobody ‘s*cka’ crab in the barrel dudes pull you down! Most of the time it’s all for attention…. that’s all these bustas be wanting forreal!”
Troy Ave pleaded not guilty to the charge and was denied bail by a Manhattan Criminal Court judge. Last week a video was released by the NYPD showing a man they say is the Brooklyn rapper firing a gun inside a room full of people backstage T.I.’s concert in NYC. He denied any wrong doing.
Meek Mill is dealing with legal issues of his own. He is currently serving a 90-day house arrest sentence for probation violation after he violated his probation from his drug and gun conviction dated back to 2009.
