Toni Braxton, Usher, Fantasia Performed Live At BET Honors

BET Honors 2016 say some huge performances from the likes of Toni Braxton, Usher, Fantasia among others.

The show was originally recorded on Saturday night at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C., but was aired on Monday night. Legendary songstress Toni Braxton was also honored at the event, but the top honorees includes the first African-American U.S. Attorney General Eric Holdner, record executive L.A. Reid, business woman Mellody Hobson, music icon Patti LaBelle, and producer-director and creator of “Empire” Lee Daniels.

Holder received a standing ovation after giving a heartfelt speech about serving in President Obama’s administration and fighting for justice and equal rights in 21st century America.

Both Toni Braxton and Usher paid tribute to L.A. Reid who is the CEO of Epic Records. Reid discovered Braxton in the early 1990s and helped her became an R&B icon. She performed her hits including “Seven Whole Days,” “Un-Break My Heart,” “Breathe Again,” and “He Wasn’t Man Enough.”

Fantasia tribute to Patti LaBelle with a powerful performance of the single “You Are My Friend.”
