50 Cent Says Money On Instagram Fake, Blast NY Times

50 Cent the wads of cash that he has been posting on his Instagram page are all fake.

The hip hop tycoon has been showing off his cash on his social media pages for months now since filing bankruptcy. 50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson, filed bankruptcy last summer after loosing a $5 million lawsuit against Rick Ross baby mama.

But soon thereafter he started showing off his wealth on Instagram claiming that he is still very rich. Four months ago he posted a photo with bank notes spelling out the word “broke.” He then posted a photo of a massive house under construction claiming that its his house in Africa.

See the photo below.

Seems 50 Cent creditors take notice and a judge summoned him to appear before the courts to explain inquire on whether or not he is hiding his wealth.

According to Billboard, 50 Cent’s lawyers says that its all for his brand.

“The cash depicted in the social media postings is not real,” they said. “The postings, which amongst other things, make use of stage or prop money, are part of the Debtor’s routine social media marketing activities and relate directly to the Debtor’s various business interests. Prop money is routinely used in the entertainment industry, including in movies, television shows, videos and social media postings.”

50 Cent did appear in court yesterday to cough up an explanation.

“For some reason people love me,” he wrote on IG. “I went to court today and all I felt was love. They asked me about money I said I ain’t got none, but if you want some m&m’s here ya go.

Seems 50 Cent also has beef with the NY Times who posted an article about the fiasco.

“The New York Times is full of sh**,” 50 said. “I would never disrespect the court system. The judge never told me what I could or couldn’t post on social networks. Then you edit the caption under my picture, to make it what you want it to be. SMH.”
