Kanye West has been having one of the worst months of his life. Aside from releasing a great album, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Unless you have been living off the grid, then you would have known the Kanye West performed on SNL last week. Seems the performance did not go as well as planned. In a leaked audio released by PageSix, you can hear Ye in a heated rant saying stuffs like “don’t f**k with me” and proclaiming that he is way more influential than the likes of Paul the Apostle, Pablo Picasso, and the great Pablo Escobar.
Lets bare in mind that Kanye West new album is conveniently titled “The Life of Pablo.”
Kanye West was reportedly upset because the stage crew changed some stuffs on the set including the flooring.
“It was like he was having an emotional breakdown,” sources told PageSix. “He was calling the crew ‘white m———–s’ and then said he was going to walk out. The only thing that stopped him from actually leaving right then was that nobody had access to the freight elevator.”
Kanye West people has since issued a statement confirming the authenticity of the tape and blaming it on sudden changes to the set.
“He did NOT yell at SNL staff,” the statement reads. “This audio was secretly recorded while he was venting his frustration in a private moment with his team. He found out his stage design was changed and taken apart under the direction of the show’s lighting director without anyone’s approval. He had spent an entire day rehearsing and a lot of hard work into the performance. Dramatic set changes were made 30 minutes before going live. It should be understandable why he was upset after being completely blindsided. Kanye was seen hugging Lorne Michaels just before the goodnights and he stayed afterwards to chat with the staff and the cast, and thanked the producers on his way out the door.”
