Jay Z’s label Roc Nation has hit Rita Ora with a lawsuit claiming that she was the one who screwed them.
Ora filed a lawsuit against Roc Nation last year December claiming that the record label failed to promote her music and release her second album. TMZ reported that Roc Nation lawyers are calling that BS.
The label’s lawsuit claimed that they signed Rita Ora in 2008 when she was a nobody and helped build her career. They signed her to a 5 album deal, but she has only released one.
Ora is also saying that she has a bunch of new music for her second album, but the label refuses to release it. Instead, the company is focusing on managing pro athletes.
Jay Z says his company spend more than $2.3 promoting her new album. Seems they are also open to releasing her from the contract.
