Happy 70th birthday to reggae king Bob Marley. The music icon would have turned 710 today February 6, 2015 if he was still alive.

Reggae and the rest of the music world are celebrating Bob Marley’s birthday today.

Happy Birthday Bob Marley is currently trending on Twitter and Facebook. Several big name celebrities have taken to their social media page to wish the reggae legend happy birthday.

Bob Marley was born on February 6, 1945 in Nine Mile, Saint Ann, Jamaica. He died on May 11, 1981 from cancer. He leave behind a musical legacy that will last for generations and a message of “one love, one heart.”

Bob Marley’s eldest son Ziggy Marley paid homage to his late father on Twitter with a rare photo from 1979.

“Happy birthday Daddy! A rare moment &family photo as we celebratd Daddys’ 34th birthday in ’79. #MARLEY70 #Share1Love,” Ziggy Marley wrote.

“My father’s music gives hope to people and also inspires them to break the bonds of injustice and to be positive in life. I’ve seen that everywhere I go, especially in poor countries and poor neighborhoods.” ?#?ziggymarleyquotes? ?#?MARLEY70?,” Ziggy wrote on Facebook.
