Sting 2014 Announced Lineup And $1.5 M Clash Prize

The 2014 Magnum Sting has announced the lineup, as well as, a JM$1.5 million cash prize for the clash.

Supreme Promotions, owned by Isiah Laing, is the production company behind Sting, and magnum is the main sponsor for the big event, dubbed the greatest one night reggae show on earth.

There are plenty conscious roots reggae artists on this year’s lineup including Nature, Etana, Capleton, Loyal Flames, Kabaka Pyramid, and Tarrus Riley.

Hardcore dancehall is also well represented from the likes of Aidonia, Tommy Lee Sparta, Demarco, Kalado, and Ninjaman.

Dancehall’s viral sensation Gully Bop is also a headlining act on this year’s show.

Surprisingly, Sting 2014 lineup don’t have some of the biggest names in dancehall including Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Mavado, Busy Signal, Konshens, and more.

Organizers have also coughed up a $1.5 million cash prize for the clash segment, which is rumored to be a rematch dubbed ‘Rapture Rematch’ between Kiprich and Black Ryno.

Sting 2014 will be held on Boxing Day, December 26 at Jamworld in Portmore. The event will also be broadcast live online.
