It’s still unclear how many shots Suge Knight got, but sources say he was shot at least six times in the arm, abdomen and other places.
Suge Knight is the former CEO of Death Row Records and was once being investigated in relation to the shooting death of Tupac Shakur.
Police officers, who responded to the scene quickly, escorted Suge Knight to the hospital via an ambulance. He was immediately taken into surgery and is now recovering in ICU.
Chris Brown, who was hosting the pre-VMA party, contemn the incident on his Twitter page.
“It’s disappointing that we as a society can’t have fun or enjoy ourselves without any altercations sometimes. Miss me with the bullsh*t,” Brown wrote on Twitter.

Sources told Page Six that Knight was shot moments after having a conversation with Chris Brown.
“It was organized chaos, Suge was shot right after talking to Chris Brown,” the source said.
“Suge was talking to Brown who was on a podium,” another source said. “They seemed to be having a friendly conversation that lasted a few minutes. About 30 seconds later shots rang out and Suge was hit. The shooter definitely wasn’t aiming for Chris, because he was right there, stood above everyone, front and center.”
Additional sources say Chris Brown might have been the target of the shooting.
Chris Brown later hosted a second party in the Hollywood Hills with Justin Bieber.
West Coast rapper The Game was also outside the event after being reportedly denied entry into the club.
