Like you I was thinking that Kanye West Yeezus album was already certified platinum but the RIAA just confirmed it.
According to this new piece of news, Yeezus did not sold a million copies just yet although it had shipped over a million units.

The RIAA confirmed the platinum status on Twitter this week.

Yeezus sparked some controversy and raised the bar of expectation with the titled when it was released in June 2013. But critics say the music failed to lived up to the expectations.
All of Kanye West albums have now been certified platinum including his collaborative 2011 “Watch The Throne” with Jay-Z.
