Its a new year and a new label for rapper M.I.A. as she announced her departure from Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.
M.I.A., who has been with Roc Nation since 2012, made the announcement via Twitter on New Year’s Eve.
This is what the “Paper Plane” rapper wrote on Twitter:
“2013 i dlted old tweet to bring u this. im leaving @RocNation. Thank to everyone who supported the M.I.A #MATANGI LP. HAPPY NEW YEAR | 2014.”
M.I.A. released her fourth album Matangi in November last year. Time Magazine ranked the album the 10th best of the year.
