NBC’s The Voice is hugely popular in the States, but now the Emmy-winning talent show is even more popular worldwide.
Thanks to Jamaican songstress Tessanne Chin, The Voice season five is rocking up huge ratings for the network.
Last week The Voice was ranked the No. 1 show with among adults 18-49, with 11.2 million viewers tuning.
Perhaps The Voice should hold a Jamaican audition for every season going forward.
Tessanne Chin is the first Jamaican contestant to enter the competition and has since become the hot favourite to win the grand prize of a recording contract and $100,000 cash.
Each week millions of Caribbean nationals both in the Caribbean and the United States tuned in to see Tessanne Chin performed for Team Adam. Even Americans are now joining the bandwagon.
As the show wind down to the Top5 contestants this week, it will be interesting to see Tessanne Chin performed her own singles such as “Hide Away.”
