Will.i.am filed legal docs in an attempt to stop Pharrell from using I AM. And now Pharrell is angry and filed a counter suit against Will.i.am.

Pharrell says the Will.i.am sent him a cease and desist letter informing him that he owns the rights to “I AM.”

In his legal docs, Pharrell says Will is using the “I Am” is a Seussian way — as a playfull riff on his own nam

“In contrast, the I Am Other mark means ‘I am something else,’ leaving what that ‘else’ is to the imagination of the consumer. It certainly does not mean ‘I am Will.'”

Will.i.am wants the judge to grant him permission to continue using I Am.
