Rap diva Lil’ Kim stopped by BET’s 106 & Park yesterday to discuss her new album, the 15th anniversary death of the Notorious B.I.G., her new single “If You Love Me.”
While on the show she helped judge the weekly “Freestyle Friday” competition. But perhaps the highlight of her interview was towards the end when Rocsi asked her about her long-running beef with Nicki Minaj.
Upon realizing that Kim was avoiding the question, Rosci said, “it’s almost like an elephant in the room to not bring it up.” Lil’ Kim shot back, “no, why?” Before adding, “we here, this is about Team Kim and everybody in here. Brooklyn in the building!”
In an effort to get a response from Kim on the subject, Rocsi pressed her.
“With much respect due to you and your craft—and I’m not trying to not say what the fans don’t want to hear—but it’s been the elephant in the room. It’s being spit out there, so the only reason I address it… But I respect your game if you say you don’t want to talk about it, but I don’t want to see you talking about it somewhere else,” Rocsi said.
But the Brooklyn rapper was in no mood for it. “At the end of the day, this is about Kim right now. We gave you that movie already, you know what I’m sayin’. We movin’ on to a whole ‘nother direction and if it come back that way, then we give ya’ll another movie. But right now we moving into another direction. ‘Bout to drop some new singles for Queen Bee and Brooklyn,” Lil Kim said.
