Portmore Empire’s Popcaan is shining despite the endless legal troubles plaguing other members of the Gaza camp.
The Gaza prefect just have his summer dancehall anthem “Ravin” to the UK’s biggest urban radio station BBC 1Xtra.
Popcaan, who release a video for the single this week, is competing for airtime with songs from major acts including Amy Winehouse, Chris Brown, Jessie J, Kelly Rowland, J Cole, Jay Z and Kanye West, Drake and Big Sean among others.
The last dancehall star to accomplish this milestone was Sean Paul.
Popcaan also have a number of singles bubbling on local and overseas charts, including “Only Man She Want” for Sounique Records is currently number two on the BBC 1Xtra Dancehall chart.
