J.O.P deejay Deablo was reportedly shot and injured last weekend while leaving a club in the United States.
While news are still sketchy, word reaching Urban Islandz is that the deejay was injured by a stray bullet following a fight at the club he was visiting.
According to Corey Todd, manager for Aidonia and J.O.P, Deablo went to a party at an undisclosed night club in the US, and was leaving when an argument developed between two patrons. Todd said the artiste continued to make his way to his car when shots were fired, which resulted in him being hit by a stray bullet.
Todd said the deejay is expected to make a full recovery and return to the island in the coming week.
“Deablo will be ok. The shot connected in his back. But it was not close to his spine so he will be ok, and back in Jamaica in a week or so,” he said.
Adding,
“This will be a motivation to him because his life could have been innocently taken away. We are just going to turn the negative into a positive. I have spoken to him and he is in good spirits,” he said.
