A Bahamian man, who was arrested in Jamaica for illegally entering in the country, said he went to Kingston in search of Vybz Kartel.
Ashmeade Thompson, a 24 years old male, said he went to Kingston to see Vybz Kartel before seeking asylum in Jamaica.
He first made his way from Montego Bay to a club in New Kingston where he heard Kartel frequented, even while he told the court he was running for his life from men who had forced him to come to Jamaica on a boat to pick up drugs.
Thompson pleaded guilty with explanation to uttering a forged document and illegal entry. He was sentenced to two months in prison on each count.
