Buju Banton Trial Update: Prosecutor To Re-Indict Buju Before Jury

The prosecutor in Buju Banton trial, Jim Preston made good his promise that he will be looking to re-indict the reggae singer before a grand jury tomorrow for cocaine and firearm charges.

On monday after the case was declared a mistrial by Judge Moody, Preston indicated that he would be looking to re-indict Banton before the jury this Thursday. Buju Banton nor his lawyer David Markus will not be present at the court tomorrow, due to the secrecy of the matter. But Urban Islandz will update you, as soon as, we get news.

In other developments, Buju bail hearing is schedule for October 6th, at which time the judge will decide to grand the artist bail or not. Markus is, however, optimistic that his client will secure bail and be able to go home.

A new trial is set to begin in December, which means Gargamel could still be convicted and could spend the rest of his life behind bars.
